What is your job on this show?
Playwright, Performer, Director, Musician, etc..
Are there boundaries as to what kind of theatre you will take part in?
Sure… I mean I want to believe in the piece and what it is saying. I want to be a part of something that engages the audience on a higher level. Besides that I am game!
Complete this sentence: My show is the only one in FringeNYC that...?
Brings commedia dell'arte from a traditional Italian background to a modern context without losing its roots.
Why did you want to write/direct/produce/act in/work on this show?
This ensemble is a collective. We are all equal writers, directors, actors and producers. It is an exciting and sometimes frustrating process but it brings out an unforgettable performance that is also different every night because of the inherent element of improvisation that lives in commedia dell'arte.
People who like which of the following recent Broadway shows would also probably like your show: THE BOOK OF MORMON, ONCE, DEATH OF A SALESMAN, CLYBOURNE PARK?
The Book of Mormon
If you had ten million dollars that you had to spend on theatrical endeavors, how would you use the money?
I would use that money to promote more devised independent theatre. There are a lot of us out there trying to make our footprint but money (as you'll see in our show) is always an obstacle... I don't think that it should be.
