What is your job on this show?
performer/co-writer/co-director/co-producer .
When did you know you wanted to work in the theater, and why?
I have always been a singer-songwriter first and foremost. But, when I started seeing more theatre than music gigs (around 2008/2009), I knew this was an area that I needed to explore. I'm so passionate about navigating the magical world where music and theatre collide.
Complete this sentence: My show is the only one in FringeNYC that...?
...is a modern day gothic fairytale told through ten original songs played on two pianos, a violin and a melodica, with four hands.
In your own words, what do you think this show is about? What will audiences take away with them after seeing it?
"An End To Dreaming" is about the journey from darkness into the light. It's about finding hope even in the most interminable blackness, and the realisation that, to dream is to be human.
Which famous New Jerseyite would like your show the best: Snooki, Bruce Springsteen, Thomas Edison?
Thoman Edison. "Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time"...
Can theatre bring about societal change? Why or why not?
Yes. Because through art, we make people feel. And that's where it all begins.
