Lameness of a Horse q&a preview by Joe White
May 19, 2013

What is your job on this show?

What is your show about?
Experimental/Pop music-infused meditation on equine mortality and physical deterioration.

Where were you born? Where were you raised? Where did you go to school?
I was born in a large Connecticut hospital, and raised in Atlanta-a town I don't especially like. I went to school in Wisconsin, amidst dairy farms, brat stands, and ruddy-cheeked honest folk.

Complete this sentence: My show is the only one opening in NYC this spring that...?
features mucus, fretless guitars, horse masks, and a percussive surgery scene.

Are there any cautions or warnings you’d like to make about the show (e.g., not appropriate for little kids)?
If your kid wants a pony for his birthday, this will likely be upsetting.

Groucho, Chico, Harpo, or Zeppo?
I was Groucho for halloween once. Or at least, I wanted to be.

Who are your heroes?
Lou Reed (1965-1978),John Lennon, when he wasn't doing primal scream therapy. Joanna Newsom.
