Twelfth Night (Mile Square Theatre) q&a preview by Matthew Lawler
June 18, 2013

What is your job on this show?

What is your show about?
"Twelfth Night" is about the extremes people will go to in pursuit of love.

Where were you born? Where were you raised? Where did you go to school?
I was born in Cleveland, raised in and outside of Boston. I attended College of the Holy Cross, and got my MFA from American Conservatory Theater.

Complete this sentence: My show is the only one opening in NYC this summer that...?
features live musicians, professional actors, one of the finest comedies ever written, and the New York City skyline as backdrop to our free open-air production.

Do you think the audience will talk about your show for 5 minutes, an hour, or way into the wee hours of the night?
Way into the wee hours of the night. This show is packed with great writing, songs, performances, and design.

Which “S” word best describes your show: SMOOTH, SEXY, SMART, SURPRISING?
SEXY. Sexy is smart, attractive, passionate, talented, and brave. We gots that all over the place.

Who are your heroes?
At the risk of sounding corny, I`d say people that make theater are all heroic. It takes a lot of courage, sacrifice, and passion to work in the theater.
